Mission work in Bohol, The Phillipines, this week saw our WYD Pilgrims building fences, planting tree seedlings, visiting both Kindergarten and Senior Schools, teaching English and learning doing their best to learn Bisaya, the native language.

Change of Hours for College Finance Office......

Please be advised that effective Monday, 25th July 2016 the operating hours for our College Finance Office will be strictly 8.00 am - 3.30 pm. The main College Office will continue to remain open until 4.00 pm.

Kiss & Drop Clarification........

If it is raining in the afternoon our "L-Z" Kiss & Drop Zone will be closed as there is no overhead covering for our students. If it is wet but NOT raining we will keep the "L-Z" Zone operating. In the event of closure this area will have the bollards relocated to open up more carparking spaces for parents and all pick ups via Kiss & Drop need to be done via the "A-K" Zone.

Launched on 15 June, Cyberwise is a learning and teaching resource for students, teachers and parents to encourage cybersafety in schools.

Open Girls Futsal Team..

The girls displayed some really good defence on the day in the first couple of rounds with a few good goals scored too! We lost two, drew one and were happy victors in our last match. Terrific teamwork girls!

Kindergarten recently enjoyed a visit fromJason of Kaleiodoscope Science. He presented the Air, Atmosphere and Weather Show, where Kindergarten learned about how air pressure can make things move and change the weather. We learned that it isn't magic, it's science!

Jackie and her Travelbugs came to visit Year One today to share her knowledge on Minibeasts. This term we are learning about Minibeasts during our science unit and we are beginning to build our knowledge on Minibeasts through this incursion and this will continue into next term. All families are reminded that the Church carpark and the grounds and gardens outside the Church are out of bounds both before and after school. Students catching the bus are to wait in the Bus Bay and all parents are asked to utilise the Kiss & Drop designated zones when picking up students.

Our Biology and Senior Science students enjoyed exploring the Penrith Lakes detention basin system. Focusing on local ecosystems and the impact of biotic and abiotic factors on them, our students truly lived the life of a scientist for a day!

2016 BMX National Championships - Tyreak Cala flies high!

Representing NSW, on 3rd March Tyreak competed against top riders across Australia in the 11 Boys, 20" Class.

Father's Day Stall

Tuesday, 1st September 2015.....all gifts $5! Our primary students will visit the stall with their teachers during class time and our secondary students can purchase during break times. Lots of lovely gifts thanks to our P&F Team.

Science Week in Kindergarten......

Over the term we have been investigating the needs of animals and plants. As a result we have discovered that everything that grows needs water! Our experiments showed us how water travels through plants right up to the tip of the flower!

Year 4's "Hands On" Science Experiment!

Growing hand germs! We made jelly and then prepared three hands- an unwashed, washed with water and one washed with soap. We then placed each hand on top of the jelly and then awaited for our germs to grow! We found out that the bacteria grew more on the unwashed hands and some also on the hands washed with just water. 4 White will always use soap to wash our hands from now on!!!

Year 1 News........This looks fun!!

In Year One we investigated a selection of science experiments for Science Week. We had fun watching celery change colour, mentos explode in coca-cola, making our own icebergs and making music with glasses filled with water at different levels. What great learning!

Clarification that our Senior and Junior Primary Choirs will be competing at the Hawkesbury Eisteddfod on Friday, 4th September (not Friday, 21st August) as previously advertised. Our Choral Section commences at 10 am and is anticipated to conclude at approximately midday.

Kindergarten on their way back from the Zoo!

Our Kindy kids have had a wonderful day at Taronga Zoo and are heading home safely right now, a little weary but very excited. We expect them to arrive back to school at 3.45 pm approximately. Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy they stories will no doubt have to share!

Year 4 News....

We had a great day today at The Rocks. We learnt about the early life of British settlers in Sydney Cove and saw some amazing landmarks. We even took a walk across the Harbour Bridge!
